This is a photograph of the Springbett family from around the turn of the century (1902).
The youngest boy at the front is Alfred Earle Springbett. In the front row (seated Left to Right) is Eleanor Charlotte (known as Nell), George Thomas (killed in action, WW1), Elsie Isabel and Annie. Standing at the back (L to R) is Margaret (who emigrated to Australia), Jack Potter Springbett, Georger Hayter Springbett, Ellen (Anne Ellen - his wife), Christopher and Sydney.
The occasion was a double celebration of George and Ellens Silver Wedding and also Jack Potter and Nells Engagement.
