Just the one photo so far, I'm afraid - but I shall be making a dedicated search for this beautiful group of damselflies this summer!  There are two demoiselles to be found in Britain, the Banded Demoiselle, pictured above (male) and the Beautiful Demoiselle, which has more black on the wings.   All types tend to frequent running water - I've just added a waterfall and stream to my own pond complex... so just maybe I'll get lucky and have them come to me in future years....

This group of damselflies are quite large, with metallic bodies and a fluttering flight pattern, especially when trying to attract females.  They might be mistaken for butterflies by someone unfamiliar with Odonata.
