This site is dedicated to the wild creatures that swim, fly or crawl in and around British ponds, rivers or streams.  It is intended to inform both adults who would simply like to discover more about the creatures around their pond, and children looking for the answers to some of the questions that might arise when working on the topic "Life Processes and Living Things" at school, pond-dipping, or simply wondering "why?" or "how?", as they look upon the wealth and variety of Britain's rich and diverse Water Wildlife.

I hope that everybody can find something to interest them, but please bear in mind that this is a new site, still being developed, and reliant on the passage of the seasons to provide it with photographic images.
