D.Anhedral crystal of hornblende in sample of phanerite. The crystal shows the typical dark green color of hornblendes from the Ok Tedi Intrusive Complex. Also shown in the photograph is a crystal of magnetite (black, upper right) and a small part of a crystal of sphene (top center) both of which abut against the which abut against the hornblende. The field of view is about 0.9 x 1.3 mm. Crossed-polar light. DDH 356-166.5
