The easiest way to see the other side of Alcudia is to take a guided walking tour of the old town. The local tourist office organises the 2 hour walk every Wednesday at noon. The old town was once the Roman capital of Majorca, however there are few visible
remains since most of the building materials have now been recycled to create the present town.
With its giant water slides, swimming and boating pools, and three mini-golf courses in landscaped surroundings, Hidropark in Avinguda Tucan makes a great day out for all the family.
A good excursion by car or bicycle is to follow the coast road north of AIcudia, along the Cap de Pinar with magnificent views of Pollensa Bay. The road ends in a military zone, but you can get as far as the Ermita de la Victoria, a 17th-century hermitage. For an easier bike ride, take the road south of AIcudia to reach the wetlands at S'Albufera.
