Vallorbe

(Oleg the Herostratus)

Vallorbe is a little village near the French border.

It is surrounded by pretty hills.

Wandering there it is easy to cross the border hardly noticiing it: here is one entry point, with nobody around. So one can easy open the gate (unfastenen) and step into another country. But please do not forget to close it, so that a cow without a proper visa cannot violate the border!

Near Vallorba there is an interesting cave with a lot of cristals, stalactits and stalagmits.

Here are a few.

This one is called Jelly-Fish. (Obviously why.)

A longest known fisula (something thin like spagetti hanging from a ceiling) in Europe is here. You cannot it see, but it is the thin like in the top-left corner. Its length is 3.8m.

I had the difficult struggle with myself to overcome the temptation to break a piece of fisula from myself.

But back in Vallorbe, in the railroad museum, nobody could prevent me from playing with the (working!) model of a railway network and creating a havoc there!
