Final Fantasy VIII, it's been out for a while now and it's still one of my favourite games...
Boasting a huge four CD's, FFVIII promises to be a massive adventure, especially for the average gamer. The game begins with Squall Leonhart facing arch rival, Seifer Almassy. There is a spectacular fight sequence which I don't want to spoil for people who haven't seen it, but lets just say those scars carve inescapable destinies for them!
This game is brilliant, a work of pure genius! The high quality of the FMV sequences has got to be some of the best ever on Playstation! I think that the introduction, the Dance sequence and the end sequence are the best seen on any 32-bit console (Excluding FFIX's ending).
Without wanting to spoil the story, the game centers on two people, Squall Leonhart & Rinoa Heartilly, two people destined to fall in love, and as the game goes on they do...
The entire game is based around these two people falling in love. Something I haven't seen in a game before, and it was a brave move.
Many people think of FInal Fantasy VIII as a lesser game in comparison with other Final Fantasies (Final Fantasy VII) I however, think it is one of the best games ever to appear and maybe the "love" theme wasn't to everyones tastes, but I certainly loved it.
Elaborating further would spoil the story, so I won't say anymore, but this is one of Squaresofts best Acheivements ever..
