Power down after shutdown
Use the generic hal.dll.softex extracted from SP4 at the command prompt using the -x switch. Modify registry at HKLM\software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\winlogon\
PowerdownAfterShutdown:REG_SZ:1 (change its value from "0" to "1") then boot to DOS (if NT partition is FAT), replace and rename c:\<winroot>\system32\hal.dll with hal.dll.softex. If this HAL doesn't work, try the version from the manufacturer's web site.
