Briton Ferry is a small town in South Wales situated in a central point between Swansea, Neath, and Port Talbot. It's Welsh name is Llansawel, meaning Church Of Saul - there is evidence that the man himself stopped off in the town almost 2000 years ago.
Briton Ferry 1888 - 1893 is a book wherein a collection of articles has been compiled from that six year period in the late 19th century, taken from a recently discovered bound collection of Briton Ferry parish magazines. It is a remarkable piece of local history, a social statement of life in a small Welsh Victorian town as described by its inhabitants.
The book is available to buy via credit card or cheque - see Index for details.
