During the early 1990s, I was a keen fan of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). My favourites included The British Bulldog (Davey Boy Jones), Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Mr Perfect. However, at the time I was unaware of their mullet misdemeanours. Rediscovering my WWF magazines and tour programmes, I was horrified to discover my former heroes as little more than trailer park trash. It is with a heavy heart that I present to you the WWF Mullet picture gallery.

Previously in tag team combo The Rockers, Shawn had a bitter feud with former team-mate Marty Jannetty and re-launched himself as a bad-ass prettyboy. By far the most impressive WWF mullet.

Sid Justice entered the WWF defending Macho Man Randy Savage at his wedding to Elizabeth from the evil Jake the Snake Roberts. However, he turned bad and attacked Hulk Hogan at the Royal Rumble (I think). He bears an astonishing resemblance to the Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour.

Hulk was the king of the WWF. Popular with all, it came as a huge shock when it transpired that he had been using steroids to pump his body. His was the most interesting WWF mullet: the length at the back seemed to compensate for a bald pate. This is known as the Michael Bolton syndrome.

Hacksaw shouted "Hooooooooooo!" at every opportunity (years before the Wu Tang Clan) and was never without his stars 'n' stripes and 2'4". Like Sergeant Slaughter, his purpose was to drum into American kids the importance of loving your country and hating "enemies" of the USA such as The Bolsheviks and Colonel Mustafa.

The British Bulldog, along with Rowdy Roddy Piper, was an attempt to attract UK fans to the WWF. Both were awful British stereotypes but at least the Bulldog had a convincing accent. Note the dreadlocks/mullet combo: was he imitating Terence Trent D'Arby?

Ohh yeahh! Macho Man was married to the hapless airhead Elizabeth. He created great amusement amongst British audiences with his mock porn star name.

This arrogant twat was unfortunately forced to retire after a back injury. He moved into punditry along with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon (a spitting image for Frank Butcher).
