Each player has a slightly differently shaped factory floor - a board onto which is a grid of squares. At the start of each turn each player selects a face down machine from the middle of the table, then flips it over. You then have to assess whether you need one of these machines that have been revealed and if so, grab it before another player grabs it for their factory. That;s the easy bit!
Now you have your new machine, you have to position it in the factory so that it can be fed by a reservoir of the right colour, then output to a hopper, or later another machine. Various connectors are available and these all cost money to position. You have to consider its position bearing in mind that more points are earned for a network of machines and so you have to place your machines with expansion in mind.
This is easy enough for the first 2 or 3 placements, but very soon you find yourself having to move connectors, and machines around to fit that new machine in. And moving your pieces around costs money too. After 10 rounds, whoever has the most money will win.
This game is alot of fun if you like puzzle type games and there is a lot of merriment as you listen to the players frustrations as that 'perfect' piece they grabbed somehow turns into the machine from hell as they try to fit it in the factory!
