Iron Dragon

This game brings together to of my favourite themes and adds a dash of one of my favourite game mechanics to deliver a fun packed hour of pure bliss. We're not in Kansas anymore my friends. We are Rail Tycoons in a world where you will need an Orc foreman to build underground cheaper, a Cat-man foreman to build through jungles cheaper, A Dwarf for mountains and a human for boats. Mastering these foreman is the key to this game and the cards that depict the different charaters are incredibly detailed, sucking you deeper into this world.

Ok, take away all the fancy bits and you basically got the same game as British Rails, Empire builder, Eurorails and every other crayon based rail game. Yet its all the fancy fantasy elements that bring this game alive and give it a whole new feeling.

SUMMARY:
I've played this game many many times, and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. Im a little biased because I love the freedom of the crayon rail games genre, but having said that, I am hard pushed to find fault with this gem of a game. The boats can get a little irritating at times i suppose, but i just had to sit here for five minutes to come up with that complaint. So yet again i advice all of you who like both fantasy and crayon rail games to track this one down. (pun intended :) )In every game we've played we've always ended with about $20m between victor and loser, and one game had just $2million and one turn in it! Now thats an exciting end to an amazing game!!
