Vinci

This game is another one of those Meglomania games, along the lines of Risk and Civilization that are both great fun and easy to learn, well almost...

The rules are very badly written, causing confusion beyond belief for the first couple of games. Luckily, the errata comes to the games rescue and saves it from the old fate of a dust collector! :o)

This is good news too, because this game deserves some credit. The pieces are wooden (Yes, including my favourite 'au natural' coloured pieces) and the cardboard counters are clear and well drawn.

Further more, the games strategies revealed in a four player game are fantastic and with Europe as the setting for four declining civilizations and four new and spreading civilizations, you cant help but interact with the other players...and personally that is one thing that makes or brakes most games for me.

SUMMARY:
A game of pure skill, with very little luck involved, which makes the game very enjoyable. However the rules are poorly translated from the French and therefore the game makes little sense without the errata. This game has become another of our groups favourites and I would definitely recommend buying it!!
