Yspahan

Each player is a merchant in the city of Yspahan.
The object of the game is to fill shops with your goods, send goods on a camel caravan and build buildings to help you during the game.

Game components are of good quality and includes some nice wooden camels and dice.
Don't let the dice word put you off. The dice are used in an intersting way.

The goal of the game is to score the most victory points by completing sets of buildings(souks), sending goods on the caravan trail and completing buildings.

The game lasts for 3 weeks, each made up of 7 rounds - 21 rounds in total.
Each round begins with the rolling of the nine dice. The dice are then grouped by number and each group of dice placed in a section on the tower board according to the number. Any 1's rolled are placed in the camel space and any 6's rolled are placed in the gold space. The other numbers are placed in the spaces for Sack, Barrel, Chest and vase, which matches the 4 districts on the board.

Each player then has two actions:
Firstly, they take a group of dice from the tower board, which then allows one of three options to be taken. You can take a card which allows special abilities during play. Or, a player can move the Supervisor a number of spaces equal to the number on the dice group taken, so if you take 3 x 4 dice, you can move the supervisor 4 spaces. If there is a goods cube in the building at the side of the space the supervisor stops on, that goods cube is sent to the caravan trail, although a player can 'pay' a camel to keep the goods cube in the building and send a goods cube from stock instead.
The 3rd option depends which group of dice were taken from the tower board. If on the camel or gold space, you can take camels or gold equal to the number of dice in that area, respectively. If taken from one of the other 4 spaces, you can place goods cubes in buildings in that district of the board.

After completing one of these options, the player can then build one of the buildings on their player board if they have enough gold and camels to build it. each completed building gives a benefit during play, such as The Paddock allows a play to take an extra camel when choosing the take camel option.

Victory points are awarded at the end of each week for completed sets of buildings and for goods on the caravan trail. (Completed buildings score VPs as they are completed)

SUMMARY:
This is a good light game that can be played in around an hour. There are different ways to score and the Supervisor can be used to spoil the other players plans, if you so wish. reccomended.
