Medina for 2 Players

Game length ca. 30 - 40 minutes

Use the rules from Medina with the following differences:

Setup:

Each Player receives:

Information table

There are now two of each building left over. Place one building of each color back in the box (they won't be used). The other four buildings will be use as markers on the Information Table (at right). Place them next to the board in the following order: Grey, Black, Brown, and Orange.

One player receives the Yellow and Red Domes, the other player takes the Blue and Green Domes. Yellow and Blue are the point scoring colors; Red and Green are the blockade colors. Place the Yellow and Red domes on the left side of the four buildings on the Information Table. Place the Blue and Green domes on the right side of the buildings (see picture to right). Using the Information Table you can see at a glance who has used which domes.

Setup:

Building:

The first player places one piece on the game board. Player 2 then places one piece on the board. Player 1 now places two pieces on the board. From now on, each player places three pieces on the board during their turn. The following restrictions apply (these also apply for placing two pieces):

Domes:

Points can only be scored using the Yellow or Blue Domes. This applies to both the Palaces and the eight tokens. You may however still complete Palaces with Red and Green Domes. Such Palaces do not have any point value and do not gain you a token. It does however count as a completed Palace allowing you to start a new Palace of that color.
