Website Updates!

Site last updated on January 5, 2001

January 5, 2001: Another year goes by at EM, and I am still working on bringing things to the site. I have added 4 new banners to my banner page, so if anyone of you out there wants to link to me, I appreciate a banner on your site. The second scenario in The Wilder Series is now online! Bill does such good scenarios, so take a peek at his work and don't forget to visit him and his troops over at TheGamersNet.

A friend of mine is working on getting me some digital camera pictures of his troops, and until that happens I won't have any new pictures of figures to put up. I am hoping to get them up sometime this month or next. I REALLY wish you guys would take the little quizzes I have on this site. They tell me what to keep adding and what NOT to keep adding. On the average I get around 50 hits a week, so you guys are downloading something. What I am not sure though. If you want more scenarios then darn it, say so! If you are wanting me to keep going on the TO&E Guide, then please say so. If you like the pictures I am posting of 12-inch action figures, then tell me. If you think I need to develop the other areas, then please speak your mind.

I am thinking of having three cds available to people that visit here. I am only gonna charge $9.95 each for them, and that will include shipping and handling. One will be the whole Steel Panthers World At War game, which many find frustrating and time-consuming to download the full version from Matrix Games. The other two will be compilations of scenarios and pictures, that you would have to surf the web for days on end to get. Again, the fee is for shipping and handling, labeling of the CD and the process of creating the CD, not for the contents of the CD. I am also toying with the idea of taking the TO&E Guide offline, and just making it a CD as well. Please let me know if that guide is useful to you guys.

Not much to update this month I am afraid. The holidays have really taken a lot out of me, and I need to recoop for February, when I will have a major update on this site. Till next month...

October 31, 2000: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!! Okay, I am back! As impossible as it may be, here I am!! I want to apologize to everyone that keeps coming here. A lot of things have gone on this year, and personally its been a trying year for me. I am gonna try to make up for it though, with all the new goodies I will be adding this month and next. I got some new scenarios in the works for all you SP fans, and some borrowed scenarios from others for the new SPWAW game. In addition to these scenarios, I have added the recently-found (well for me it was) SP Camo project files, as well as new MOB and KOB files, and the SPWW2 project that Andy and his team have so freely developed for us SP gamers! Somehow I think, that by the game, and the gamers, SSI's SP series will probably NEVER die!.

I also managed to gather a bunch of cool photos for my figure galleries, and folks some of these figure pics make it hard to tell the difference between the figures and the REAL thing. I have also added some of my own photos, of a Green Beret recon team I put together in some tall grass. Makes it look like they came out of the Jungle in NAM. You be the judge!

You will notice that a lot of the newer sections are still quite sparse for information and pics. Well, that's because it's often difficult to find anything information-wise without blatantly plagerizing from books and articles. To me, that is not for my website. Others may do that, but its not my style. Be patient, as I will be putting diagrams and articles up in the near future.

On a negative note, I took out the veteran's area pages. There wasn't much response on any of that idea, and it didn't look like it was doing anything but wasting webspace. I think what I have here is enough, and I am just going to concentrate on this and go forward. In that respect, you will notice on the preliminary page that I eliminated all future ideas to the website. That is so I do not become distracted, and begin new projects without continuing to develop the other areas that bring you guys here to begin with. My main area of interest, at least by my q-airre is the TO&E pages. You guys have got to know HOW HARD it is to find the information. The Government just doesn't volunteer it to me. That is why its few and far between. But, I will update it soon as well. Till next time, which hopefully will be November, enjoy what I have added.

February 25, 2000: Welcome to another month! Boy, I tell ya I have been busy, busy, busy!! Sorry to take so long to update the site this month, but I have added quite a bit of things now. Updating this month took so long, that I had to wait till nearly the end of this month to get it all up. First of all, I want to sincerely thank Mr. Bill "Wild Bill" Wilder for this month's scenario contribution to my site! Bill is an artist in scenario design, and has been doing it for quite some time. I can safely say, and with much pride, that he is the man that not only inspired me to design my own scenarios, but also tutored and mentored me the whole time I was doing them. To this day, we are still friends, and I can talk to him and ask his opinions on several things, including scenario design. If any of you care to sample more of Bill's work, why not check out Wild Bill's Raiders Group.

In the coming months I will have more stuff from this man, as well as many more important faces behind scenario and wargaming design. A few new maps have gone up in the maps section, and I am going to try to update that at least ONCE a month, if not more. I have a friend who also designs maps, and is a bit of a celebrity. These maps will slowly be added each month. My campaign, Blood Against The Stars, is 3 scenarios complete, and work continues on it. Work also continues on the other scenarios I have listed on my SP scenario page. More files are being added in the coming weeks to the new Steel Panthers gallery. Not to confuse you guys and gals, but the word "gallery" does not necessarily mean pictures. This is another "treasure trove" area of information and related files pertaining to the Steel Panthers series of games.

No doubt you will also note a new section for Veterans. Right now I have added the Vietnam Veteran's area, and to start out a small piece about "Hanoi Jane". Those of us who didn't serve nor were even born yet, have heard small rumors or faint stories about Jane Fonda's involvement in Vietnam. I have a small piece from another vet on what it was like to be in Vietnam and in captivity, and then have a visit from Miss Fonda. She has done many a bad thing to this country during that era, and has never apologized nor had any criminal charges brought against her, for what could be easily construde as blatant treason to not only the men who were in captivity, but our country as well. As the notion of Jane Fonda being mentioned as one of this century's top 100 Women, I think it's apalling for her to even be considered for such an honorable position. Your comments and criticism are welcome, and you may pass these along to other vets with the new vets guestbook also on that page.

As for you collectors out there, well I have added 15 new scans to the small GI Joe section. Fifteen new blueprint scans have been posted in the blueprint gallery, and next month you will see another 15 go up. As always, any input about these pages is greatly appreciated.

So much going on it's hard to keep it all straight! I have been working on the new Special Forces section, doing research and gathering information. Look for that to start somewhere around late March early April. I have also been gathering a few more pieces of Russian TO&E to post. In addition, I will also be updating the 12-inch GI Joe gallery in March. Look for it coming soon. Well, that's about it for now, unless I find anything else that can be updated quickly in between now and the next update. Thanks for stopping by!

January 5, 2000: Happy New Year and Happy New Millennium!! Another year has passed us by, and first of all, I wanted to personally thank ALL of you for continuing to visit my site. In the coming months, I have a few surprises instore for you all, but I won't make any announcements on that till February.

Updated the small Joe section to include some links I will be working on more as time allows. I have started both the Acronyms page, for all you small Joe collectors out there, that haven't a clue as to what all those neat and funny-looking terms mean. Heh! Also, starting this month, I have added the Codename/Specialties page, where you can cross reference your favorite figure's codename with what they do. Basically, it's a reference point for all the small Joe collectors. I have begun the task of starting the Figure Database. And folks, it IS just THAT, a TASK! You have to sit down and go through your entire collection, reference books, guides, and magazines to research the information. Then, to top it off, you have to figure out how to present this on the site. I was thinking of doing an Access database, and post the Microsoft Access viewer to the site. Right now I am not sure, since that would take up some space that I could use for other goodies.

On another note on the small Joes, I will be adding the filecard scans, as well as a few blueprints now and then. Right now, I am unable to get to my collection, so it has been put off for next month (hopefully!).

New scenarios for SP games are being done still. In February, I will be bringing you a surprise in this area! Shhh! It's a secret...

Lastly, I want to say since I have so much going on in February for this site, I did not do as much this month. If I do manage to get a few more things done for the site, before February, then it will be posted here, as always. We report no Y2K glitches yet, so please have a great month!

December 16, 1999: Happy Holidays!! Another month, and time for another update! Fixed the deadlinked SP series scenarios. They ALL will download correctly now. Have some new additions to the SP pages, as well as some new TO&E for all you hungry wargamers out there. I have also added a few pieces of insignia and my banner is now in its development stages. On the SP main page, you will find a link, along with my affiliate ID to Chips N Bits, that will link you to the current SP games on the market, and for sale from Chips N Bits. In addition to this idea, a new page of monthly wargaming (PC Games only) will be added, and each month a link to affiliate sites, where you can download demos or buy the games online will be posted.

New SP-series scenarios are slowly being mapped, and older non-finished scenarios are currently either being redone, or having the bugs worked out of them. I would like to remind you, that this is a very laboring process, and can sometimes take weeks. Sorry for the lengthy delays. Your patience is very appreciated.

Updated the military collecting pages to include the GI JOE 3 3/4-inch figures. Not much in the way of information, but I did add 10 box artwork scans, for you lovers of GI JOE. Soon, there will be an updated figure database, linking codenames to the figures specialties, along with what weapons and accessories came with each figure. I am also adding Blueprint and filecard scans soon, so look for them too.

Now for you diehard gamers, who are requiring TO&E... At last they are here!! The much-demanded armored cavalry units! I have had soo many emails and requests for these, but I couldn't find time to get a break to get them up. Well here they are!! The Armored Cav heavy and light troops. If I get more time this month, I will post the engineer units hopefully before the end of the Millennium.

I have some new ideas for the site coming in the next year, and more development of data, pics, and information will be going up as time allows for me to do it. I may also be doing a special Milennium update, so watch for it. I want to wish all of you a Happy and Joyous Holiday Season! Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!

November 14, 1999: I truly apologize for my absence. It's been nearly a year, and just not enough time in my life anymore to do monthly updates. However, I have renewed my interests, and I will be starting to devote more time and resources back into my site. There are going to be a lot of changes going on here, and a lot of new things such as content, menus, and subject matter are going to change. I will be getting a new counter, and then designing my own banner in case anyone wants to advertize my site. Oh btw, all files have been successfully moved from GeoShities!

Updated scenarios will be out, hopefully before Christmas. With the new Steel Panthers game going to be hitting the market soon, there will be plenty of demand for Steel Panthers. During this Summer, my site also seen its second birthday, so Happy Birthday Everything Military! I will be working more on the Insignia pages, the Steel Panthers pages, and updating things here and there. I want to thank all of you out there for coming back again and again. I do appreciate it!

On another note, I have added a q-airre that can be emailed back to me for further input. You do not have to put your name on it, this will just give me an idea as to where the site should go next. Moving from GeoCrapCities was the BEST thing I could have ever done, and the extra space that Fortune City so richly allocates to my site, is indeed worth the move alone!

Not to keep all of you devoted wargamers out in the dark, but I have acquired new TO&E manuals and files from many sources, and will also be updating that information as time goes on. The Iraqi units are basically formed around the Russian TO&E, with similar equipment and troop strength, however I will be researching that more as time allows. I have acquired quite a selection of Russian TO&E that I will be adding gradually over time. The much-promised Engineer and Infantry units for the US Army will also be showing up. Currently, things are still in books, manuals, and PDF files, as well as powerpoint slides. The information will be transferred as I get time, and then coded into HTML format for all to see. Incidentally, in my guide, I promise to bring a downloadable version of the TO&E Guide to my site. That I am still working on, and I may distribute it to anyone interested, as a CDROM. There will be a nominal fee, which will include shipping, if I decide to do it.

Last but not least, I will be developing the Special Forces pages into their own mini-site. There is so much out there on them, including their weapons, tactics, manuals, and the missions they face; it's kinda rough to get it all down into HTML code. There will also be a special section on anti-terrorist teams, as well as weapons and tactics used. A good source of pics for this is the newsgroup alt.binaries.pictures.military. Well enough of my ranting and raving. Check back soon for more updates. Check out the cool Java button applet I created. It's called the "quick menu system", and I will be implementing this more into each page, which will go along with my overhaul on the design stages.

January 10, 1999: Welcome! Another year and another holiday season has passed, and it is time for a new year. Lots of changes going on here, and a lot of new features being added in the coming months.

This month I added some new categories, and I plan to develop them as time goes on. For now, they will DEAD LINK (unless otherwise noted) if you click on them. Be patient, as time goes on, these links will be developed into pages of their own. I will be working on forms, questionnaires, Insignia, and updating the TO&E page all this month and the next. BOTS, or Battle Of The Sexes, is currently on hold. It was finished, but the existing scenario caused the SP2 game to lock up and crash, so it has to be redone. When that is finished it will be posted here. Two other scenarios are also still in the designing stages, and one campaign is three scenarios done.

On the music page you will find both lyrics and midi files. Cadences, IF available, will be posted in WORDPAD format, and music will be in either WAV or MID file format. Still catching up from the holiday season, and I hope everybody liked my holiday page I put up. There is a preliminary index page where the holiday page used to be now. Basically it tells you what I am working on in the coming months, gives you a chance to email me with ideas, and is a starting point for the site. True to my word, updates to the TO&E page will begin with the Cav units and Engr units this month. I have collected the necessary data, and it is just a matter of time to get it transposed to HTML and uploaded to the site.

With the inclusion of the music files, will also be sound files until they become so large, that they will need their own page. Currently my space is limited, so I plan to put a few here and there on the music page. Of special interest will be the NEW Special Forces page coming soon. This page will have the ELITE stuff listed. Rangers, SEALS, Green Berets, DELTA SOD, ect. It will all be here! Insignia, creed, motto, weapons, equipment, tactics, and operations. Look for it coming soon!

I have cut the collecting page down to just figures for now. Too much time to locate the data and information, but this will also be re-developed as the year goes on. I haven't heard much about my chat page, and I am starting to wonder IF it is being used at all. I hear no complaints or comments about it either way. So. please let me know IF you like it, use it, or don't want it. Later in February, you will see the first developments of newer scenarios, and a new page devoted to just maps for the SP games series. I am also adding a veteran's page, to give credit where credit is due to the guys and gals who insured my freedom for all these years. I NEVER take it for granted, and I need a way to show my appreciation for ALL your hard work and the lives that were lost to keep our country free and plentiful! As I said, this will be developed more next month, and should be up by March or early April. Well, that is about it for this time. Tune in next month, where I hope to see a lot more of your smiling faces grace my pages! Dismissed!

November 15, 1998: Hey there! Well, I hadn't really planned on updating again this soon, but here we are! I have the Battle Of The Sexes scenario for SP2 nearly completed. It is going to be Army Females against Marine men. It starts off as a Marine invasion exercise, and goes from there. Hope you like it.

Two other scenarios are still in the works. IF you cannot wait for new scenarios, may I suggest following the GamersNet link on the links page. Bill and the guys do GREAT work! I should know, I used to be a Raider! They also have many other things of interest at the site, besides scenarios.

I am also going to be adding some new features in the nearer future: After a long awaited absence, I will be adding new TO&E to the guide. The much-demanded Armored Cavalry units and the Engineer units will be updated all this month as I get time to do this. I have also got some new pictures to add for the picture galleries, and they will be updated during this month as well. Check out my new association with the Trooper for other "goodies" in military interests!

October 28, 1998: Time for another bi-monthly update! Not much going on this time. I have added another gallery to the site. This one includes pics of vehicles, weapons, and other military-related things for you to enjoy. Two scenarios for SP2 are nearly completed, and that itself was NO easy task, due to the amount of time I have to devote to my job. That leaves little time to keep my site updated. That is why it may take me some time to get it out, but rest assured I will eventually get it done. I am in the process of getting a guest book for all you military "troopies" out there, and I should mention that I am also going to be in association with the TROOPER directory, a site that has NOTHING but MILITARY-RELATED links and information!

August 28, 1998: Another 2 months have passed, and that means it is time for another bi-monthly update for Everything Military! That's right! I have decided to go to a bi-monthly update, till things slow down for me. The Military Collecting page has been updated to include information on GI JOE figures and accessories. I also added pics of most of the figures and accessories from the Ultimate Soldier line. Just click on the link, and it will take you to a picture.

Check out the picture gallery for this month's topic. I have also updated my collecting links page to include some of the leading figure manufacturers and their websites. You may also find customizer sites in the links page. For you gamers out there, I am working on some new sets of TO&E to be added soon. These are going to be available soon, and I am also thinking of adding Microsoft Powerpoint pages, which will require the Powerpoint player to view.

Tables of mines and Infantry Weapons has been delayed due to the nature of data not being readily available.

In addition, not ONLY have I become associated with AMAZON.COM books and more, but I have ALSO joined forces with BIG STAR. ONE of the largest Internet-based video stores and have added a link to them on my homepage as well as a search engine link on the LINKS page. This store carries a wide array of military-related videos and documentary films. Check them out!

I will also be going back to creating my own scenarios for SP2 and SP3, and then work will begin on BLOOD AGAINST THE STARS. As always, I ask that you email me about the site, or anything you want to see added here. Coming soon will be a guestbook and several on-line forms/Q-airres to fill-out and email me back.

Everything Military is now **ONE** year old!!!

June 10, 1998: Back for another monthly tour of duty with Everything Military! The Military Collecting page has been updated to include information and pictures of some of my favorite figure scenes. BLOOD AGAINST THE STARS is going to be put ON HOLD till I can manage to get the time to do it. It is all skeletal right now, and nothing really concrete, but something should develop this summer from it all. Right now, I cannot say when exactly that series will be developed, since I am busy at work on another series campaign for the Raiders. Also, IF you check out the scenario page, and look at the coming scenarios, that is what I am working on right now. I have also devoted a lot of time to my old/new hobby of collecting 12-inch military figures. In addition, I have now become associated with the AMAZON.COM on-line bookstore service, and ask that you please take a look at what they have to offer in the form of military information and military history books. Please see their link and search engine on my LINKS page.

April 23, 1998: Back for another monthly update. Well, as you can see the site got a face-lift and FINALLY a name.... Everything Military! IF you did not see the site with the camo background, you didn't miss anything. I tried one style, then another more US Military-like background. The first one worked, but I didn't like it. The second US-style I could not get the background to work with ANY text color, so I dumped it all. I have also added a new section on MILITARY COLLECTING. This comes from my hobbies, and I thought I would share them with all enthusiasts out there. Plus, it makes for a more productive site, to offer many different things with the military theme in them. The name says it all. Someday, I am going to add military music and themesongs. Well, enough of the rant. Working with the Raiders doesn't give me too much time to do my own scenarios, but rest assured I am working on a few in small parts here and there. The collecting page is starting with GI Joe figures, and will progress to models and toy army men later. Just wanted to get the ball rolling on that, so it is minimal right now. Many new links are going to be added in the future, among them are going to be defense companies who build the weapons and equipment. I am also adding links to the collecting page, since I do NOT feel they have any relevancy to the links page. A few pages of information are also going to be added, and when I get my hands on this book I have been wanting, the IRAQI TO&E will be added. Till next month, ENJOY!

March 14, 1998: Been a LONG time since I have updated the site, but now I am back, and hopefully will be updating more often. First, two NEW scenarios for you to try. One is in SP3, and is basically an ARTEP on a fictitious reserve component carrying out its annual training. There is a blue and a red force. This particular ARTEP takes place in the woodsy area of Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. Next up, an SP2 scenario on a fictitious "What If?" on a terrorist hijacking. A United Nations plane is hijacked with the U.N. security council aboard, and it is up to Delta Force, the U.S. super secret anti-terrorist strike force, to get them back. Finally, I updated the links page to include 66 NEW links! Also in the works will be a CONCISE TO&E on engineering units, as well as some more armor units of the U.S. Army. In addition, I am also working on several pages of information for you gamers and military enthusiasts alike. Soon to come will be a chart on weapons of the Vietnam war, as well as an infantry weapon guide, and a special section on Russian tactics and doctrine.

November 22, 1997: Unfortunately I have had to condense the TO&E guide down to three countries instead of six. There just weren't enough available sources of information and pictures, and my time being somewhat limited, I could no longer search for the information. However, "Blood Against The Stars" will go into the developmental phase now that SP3 is out! Look for a few more charts to come soon, along with more SP3 and SP2 scenarios! Click here for a list of scenarios on my new "Blood Against The Stars" campaign!

September 21, 1997: Added new table to the "Information Page" on tanks. Soon to come will be tables on Infantry Weapons and Mines. Updated the Military Links section to include 14 new links. Under current scenario development is a new series entitled, "Blood Against The Stars". No, this isn't a sci-fi adventure, it is the coming of the Second Civil War here in the United States. At least 15 battles make up this series, with a great deal of urban combat scenarios, and small unit action. With today's technology at it's peak, this is SURE to be one of the bloodiest!

August 16, 1997: I am working on a couple of pieces of information on tanks and infantry weapons of various countries. You can find these files on the Information page, when they are completed. Nearly completed is First To Fire #2, and FTF #3 and 4 are halfway finished. I remind you that there are many hours to be put into developing scenarios, so please be patient. Thanks.

August 15, 1997: I have added more Russian and U.S. TO&E lists to the guide, which include: Engineer Company, Reconnaissance Company, Anti-Tank Missile Battery, Anti-Tank Gun Battery, Towed Howitzer Battalion (122mm), Towed Howitzer Battery (122mm), Motorized Infantry Battalion (BMP), Motorized Infantry Company (BMP), Motorized Infantry Battalion (BTR), and Motorized Infantry Company (BTR).

For the United States I have added the Stinger MANPADS Air Defense Artillery Battery (Wheeled), Stinger MANPADS Air Defense Artillery Battery (Tracked), and the Vulcan Air Defense Artillery Battery (Tracked).

In addition, I have also added 3 U.S. tanks and a few Russian tanks, to the vehicle portion of the TO&E Guide. Lastly, I have updated the on-line glossary some to include 50 terms. I Will be adding a small piece on mines, and the various types from various countries, and some information on Infantry weapons from various countries, on the information page.

August 14, 1997: I have added the Russian Tank Battalion, Tank Company, and Air Defense Missile and Artillery Battery lists to the TO&E Guide. In addition, I am currently working on a few new scenarios for the scenario page, and also working on a few new pieces of information to add to the information page.

August 13, 1997: I have added the U.S. Armor Battalion, Armor Company, and Anti-Armor Company lists to the TO&E Guide. Currently working on two new "First To Fire" scenarios to add to the series. I am also working on a new series entitled "Force Recon", which is related to the U. S. Marines and small unit operations between a small Recon platoon.

August 11, 1997: I have had the site up for a few weeks now, and working here and there on things. IF you would like to contribute anything, or see anything here that needs improvement, or anything that needs to be added, please go to the main page and click on the email link.
