ChuChus and KapuKapus! The story...
In a far away time on a far away planet, there is a Space Port. This Space Port is inhabited by thousands of little ChuChus.
ChuChus aren't ordinary mice, we're space mice!
The ChuChus lived happily until one day, when...
The Space Port became infested with KapuKapu.
Oh no! Look at all those cats!
KapuKapus aren't ordinary cats, we're space cats!
The ChuChus must escape in rockets.
The fate of the ChuChus is in your hands! The "Chuchu Rocket!" launch countdown has started!

Game modes.
There are 9 game modes that greet you when you start the game: Help, 4-player battle, Team battle, Stage Challenge, Puzzle, Puzzle edit, Network, Hompage and options.
Help is... er, help obviously.
4-player battle is when you and up to 3 friends or computer controlled opponents try to collect the most mice.
Team battle is when Player 1 and Player 3 take on Player 2 and Player 4. One could colect mice while the other repels cats.
Stage Challenge is when one or two players try to accomplish the various tasks as quick as they can. This is alot easier with 2 players.
Puzzle is when the player has to solve the puzzle and place the panels before starting the mice running.
Puzzle edit is when you make up your own puzzle which you can upload onto the ChuChu server for others to download and play.
The best and most fun option is the Network mode when you connect to the ChuChu server, make up a username and password, choose either the English, French, German, Italian or Spanish server then you can chat with other ChuChu players then have an online battle with them. If you want to play me I'm usually on at the weekends at about 4pm or 5pm and my username is "SUPERSCOT!"
Homepage is when you can connect to the net and visit the ChuChu Rocket website where you can download new characters, view hints and tips, surf the rest of the web and check your game mails.
Options is when you can change the difficulty level of the game in among the other standard options for games.
Graphics
Most people say the graphics for the game are 2D but, they aren't they are in fact 3D viewed from above. You can tell this because after a 1-4 player match the camera pans around the arena and when you finish a puzzle the rocket goes past the camera and looks 3D. So now you know.
The mice move around the screen like the clappers and if there is a "Speed Up" just as a "Mouse mania" was in full swing the game is very confusing with many mice zipping about all over the place and your eyes won't be able to keep up.
Sound
The music for the game is quite good it's zany, mental and Japanesey style. The sfx are good too with the mice squeaking when they enter a rocket and they "miaow" of the cats as they chase the mice.
Playability
The game is good to play and has easy to understand controls. You can use the d-pad or the analogue stick to manoeuvre your on-screen pointer and the buttons are: Y-Up, B-Right, A-Down and X-Left. Simple to play and when the game gets into full super-fast swing you could place some panels wrongly and make mistakes but not regularly though.
Lastability
The 1 player puzzle game has a very tough challenge that will drive you crazy if you're not too smart. The best I can do is get to the hard level, I complete all but 5 of them but if you're smarter than me you might be able to get onto the special and mania modes and if you complete them you will get those cute-little chao from Sonic Adventure and those Pians from Saturn classic NiGHTS. The multiplayer modes are the most fun parts of the game that will have you coming back.
The Game Overall!
A fast-paced puzzler that has a tough (mental) challenge and a superb multiplayer. And it's FREE to everyone who's registered to the Dreamarena.
