Well hello and welcome to the December edition of Barry the SuperScot's Super Sega Website! It's December and that means that Christmas is almost upon us and to mark the occasion I've made a special "What's hot and What's not this Christmas!" Feature so go there now! I've got Shenmue and I review it exclusively first on Fortunecity! It's rather good too so go and have a look at the review of "The Game of the Year!" So there's not much left to say apart from "Have a merry Christmas and a happy new year when we get into the (real) millenium!"

Shenmue: The Movie!
Yes Shenmue has been released and according to a news report on SimplyGames.com and Gameplay.com Sega of Japan are to make a movie on Shenmue! It's due to be first shown on January 20th. It'll be interesting to see what it'll be like and whether the acting will be better than the game! Hopefully the film will be as good as the game. There's no word on a UK release.
Crazy Taxi 2 confirmed!
Sega have recently confirmed that a sequel to the excellent Crazy Taxi is in development and that it's to be set in New York! It will be NAOMI based so expect a speedy conversion to Dreamcast with extras. Hopefully there will be new "crazy moves" and "crazy cabbies". A "crazy 2 player mode" and "crazy online facility" wouldn't go amiss either. Hopefully we'll see it sometime in 2001.

Sega confirm Sonic Adventure 3!
What?! We haven't even got Sonic Adventure 2 yet! Anyways a news report on Gameplay.com has said that Sega Europe has confirmed Sonic Adventure 3! Hopefully this version will be developed in Europe! Well Sonic Adventure was developed Japan, SA2 in San Fransisco so hopefully Sonic Team will come over here for the development of Sonic Adventure 3!

The coolest game EVER! Rollerblade around the streets of Tokyo-to and spraypaint your tags to mark your area! Using the new technique called "Manga-dimension" this game looks quite different and cool! Unfortunately if the press find out about this game they would be all "This encourages vandalism" and "this is totally irresponsible and premotes the de-facing of property!". In fact one city called Milwaukee has asked Sega not to release this game because they spend over $1,000,000 a year on removing graffiti. They think it will encourage vandalism. Didn't they read the disclaimer that Sega put in the game that appears when it loads up? Anyway let's hope that the press over here don't find out about it or at least don't mind it! Watch out for the review near the end of this month!

New VM's, mice and microphones!
Good news! There is going to be a new memory card out in the next few weeks that holds 4 times as much as the current memory card but doesn't have the screen (More on the memory card at DC-UK). Soon internet surfing through DC will be easier because of the mouse. Half-Life will work very well with the mouse and keyboard. The microphone for Seaman will also be released soon. Those 4X memory cards have been delayed until 2001 by the way.

Half-Life and Dreamkey 2 delayed!
The BEST PC game EVER, Half-Life and Dreamcast browser, Dreamkey ver.2 have both been delayed which is not very good considering we were almost going mad because of the delays that MSR had! Anyway the have been delayed till next year and we'll get Half-Life sometime before Easter and Dreamkey has been delayed because it's getting better Flash compatibility and voicemail facilities added.

Nothing! Unfortunately I can't bring you any Offspring songs this month because of their site being updated and changed so I couldn't get an address for a song so you'll just have to go to their site to listen to their music.

And finally...

More (funny) Playstation 2 woes!

Where were all the midnight parties, Sony? where were the famous people for launch? Where were those ugly black boxes? Yes, you've guessed it, Sony have messed up once more!
Well the PS2 was released last month and thankfully didn't make much of an impact! The game sales have also been pathetic with only 1 entering the all-format charts and the bad ones outsold the decent ones! Apparently, Fantavision (probably the most original PS game ever!) sold only just over 800! That really is pathetic. More good news is that Shenmue managed to beat every PS2 game to a pulp, while it may not have got to numero uno in the all-format charts it got to number 6 which is better than any PS2 game you could mention... If these funny PS2 mess-ups continue we may see the end of Sony in the games market! Hurray! Come on Sega! Get in NOW! This is a golden oppurtunity to jump up and down on Sony's face while it lay on the ground after it's most recent slip-up!
