Update: 27th October
Sega Release sales numbers!

Sega have recently announced their latest sales for the Dreamcast worldwide (i.e. USA, Europe and Japan) and they have been quite good so far.
Topping the list of high Dreamcast sales is the good ol' US of A with a well out in front 2.5 million units sold, 2nd in most units sold is the longest to have it, Japan, with 1.78 million units and us here in Europe are 3rd with a highly respectable 1.04 million units considering we've had it for a shorter time. Sega also say that something like 4 million games have been sold in Europe! Now those high sales have been GREAT news! Only 5,994,680,000 players to go!

Come on! If you haven't got one yet then, what are you waiting for???

Update: 20th October!

Oh for the love of...
AAAAARRRRGGHHHHH!!!!! NO! NO! NOOOOO!!!!! IT'S DELAYED AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets all ask Bizarre this: "WHY?!?!" I have very disturbing news because I have found out that MSR is delayed AGAIN!!!!! The new release date is now November 3rd!!!!!! AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!! Lets hope that this is it! This has to be the release date!!! Please Bizarre don't delay it again!!! We want this game before Shenmue, Samba De Amigo, Half-Life, Phantasy Star Online and Sonic Adventure 2 come out. We also want it out before Road changes in Tokyo, San Francisco and London, Hover Cars and humans inhabiting Mars?!?!? Are we peeved by this? Well in a word, yes. This better be the best game ever or else, Bizarre! For more info on the game take a look at my Mini preview below. Good news though is that F355 Challenge is released today! (20th October) I'll do a review as soon as I get F355.

BIG NEWS THIS MONTH!

It's a BIG month for Sega and the Dreamcast this month! Why? Well for the following reasons:
1. October 14th Dreamcast's 1st birthday!
2. October 20th Metropolis Street Racer finally released!
3. October 27th Ferrari F355 Challenge released!

This is gonna be one hell of a month!
YEEEEAAAAAHHHHH!!! It's (almost) here!!!!!
Publisher: Sega |Developer: Bizarre Creations |Price: £39.99 |Release: November 3rd!

The highly anticipated Dreamcast game Metropolis Street Racer is almost here! And it's quite probably the BEST racing game ever! Last month we found out that the game had been put back another month to October 20th (More than a year after it's original scheduled release date) but that doesn't matter any more cos it's only a matter of 12 days (I'm writing this on the 8th) till every Dreamcast owner can get there hands on the GOD OF RACING GAMES! Apparantly the delay of 1 month was for Bizarre to make sure everything was perfect and well... everything seems to be that way. Here's some facts about the game:
1. It looks great!
2. It sounds great!
3. It plays great!
4. It has over 250 tracks!
5. It has 50 cars!
6. It was originally intended to be a launch title but Bizarre weren't happy with it until it was perfect.
7. It's BIG!
8. It has online functions!
9. You can race around accurtately represented interpretations of 3 great cities, London, San Francisco and Tokyo!
10. There is up to 8 players in the multiplayer mode!
Not long until it comes out now!!! Watch out for my review on October 22nd cos I'm going to be playing it continuously from 20th to 22nd to let you know how great it is!

The other GREAT games out this month!
Space Channel 5
Publisher: Sega |Developer: United Game Artists |Price: £39.99 |Release: Out Now!

The groovy dance game where you have to take the sexy Ulala and make her copy the aliens moves to the beat of the music to free the hypnotised humans. It takes place on a Space Port above Earth and looks and sounds lovely. Easy to pick up, hard to put down! Watch out for my review of this funky game soon!

Ferrari F355 Challenge
Publisher: Acclaim |Developer: Sega AM2 |Price: £39.99 |Release: Out Now!

THE driving simulation! Ever wanted to drive a Ferrari but don't have the £100,000 to buy one? Well wonder no more! Cos for £40 this month you can buy Ferrari F355 for the Dreamcast! Amazing graphics, sound and very realistic handling mean a fast, furious and challenging drive. This is the hardest driving game ever, for hardcore gamers only! Unless you're prepared for years of practice. Watch out for my review on October 29th!

What a copy-cat! The young pretender!
It has come to my attention that someone has been copying a whole lot of stuff from my site! Who is it? Well I won't mention names but I'll give you his site address www.fortunecity.co.uk/underworld/platform/321 It's a multi-format site and his Sega section is nowhere near as good as this site, even though he nicked stuff from it! He's nicked an older version of my release schedule, this wallpaper, a Crazy Taxi pic from my links page! But I want to remind you all that I'm the Original and BEST!

New VM's, mice and microphones!
Good news! There is going to be a new memory card out in the next few weeks that holds 4 times as much as the current memory card but doesn't have the screen (More on the memory card at DC-UK). Soon internet surfing through DC will be easier because of the mouse. The microphone for Seaman will also be released soon.

Price Drop! £149.99
According to a news report on DC-UK's website the DC's price is now officially £149.99! For more info Click here!

Offspring song of the month!

Hey I love Offspring's songs and I think you should have a listen to some of their greatest songs! This month we have...
Come out and Play Have a good listen to some good rock!
To listen to the song you need at least Realplayer G2.
You can get a version of realplayer by clicking on the realplayer pic.

And finally...

More (funny) Playstation 2 woes!

Once again Sony have messed up. Which, in turn, is very funny indeed. So what have Sony done with PS2 this time?
Well... they have only got 30,000 PS2's for UK release now! A lot less than the 200,000 that was stated last month. So now a lot of idiots have a chance to go and fill in their pre-order forms (it's really them signing the right of their soul to Sony) and handing over £25 deposit to guarantee one saved for them for day one, then they will have to wait a few months to get it anyway! It would be a great injustice if the machine sells well after it's terrible Japanese run so far.
