Yes!! Now we can all in our own homes shake those Bright Red Maracas all night! Why you might (Read: "Most definitely will!") look more stupid than... er, a very stupid person.
This game by the looks of things is going to be one of the most original and fun titles of the year!

From what I can gather so far this is the conversion of Sonic Team's Great arcade game and when it's released I expect it to be bundled with those Bright Red Maracas just like the ones in the arcade! The bad news for this though is that on import at the moment the game costs £100+!!! With the maracas and dance mat! Hopefully when the games comes out over here Sega will have the good sense to lower that ridiculous price to about £60 or £70.
The game is about shaking maracas and dancing on a mat in time to a little monkey guy on the screen along with a rank and the more you dance like him the better your rank is, for example if you dance marvellously and work your rank up to an A the screen goes up in an epilepsy-inducing explosion of vibrant colours and latin music! but, if you are not in tune and falling behind the monkey-dude you will be getting lower ranks and the sun will set and monkey-dude will start to cry. There are various game modes and mini-games plus some groovy tunes to dance to including Livin' La veda loca (or whatever it's called), Soul Bossa Noda and other Latin-dance tunes. Not only do you get them but you get tunes from other Sega games including:
-Open Your Heart: Sonic Adventure |
-Sonic-You Can Do Anything: ? |
-Super Sonic Racing: Sonic R |
-Burning Hearts: Burning Rangers |
-Dreams Dreams: NiGHTS |
-Magical Sound Shower: ? |
-After Burner: After Burner |
-OPA-OPA!: ? |
-RENT A HERO No.1: Rent A Hero |
Final Comment: Personally, I can't wait for this game!
