Information on the Realm: Spiderfell, The

The Spiderfell, a pool of evil within the Heartlands of Anuire and
feared by all. Its ruler the enigmatic creature known as the Spider
rules with an iron fist over his brethren and has lately begun
organised raids against the surrounding lands. Rumours also persist
that the Spider is recovering from the madness that has plagued it all
these years. If this is so then Anuire has much to fear. Those
entering the forest of the Spiderfell find it home to millions of
deadly spiders of all types, its woods are said to hold some evil
enchantment upon it to confuse those tavelling within it until they
become completely lost and fall pray to the evil denizens that dwell
within. Most noticably from a distance a perpetual storm always seems
to lurk over the forest.
Every realm around the Spiderfell has invaded the Spiderfell at some
time and each time the invaders have been beaten by billions of
spiders stinging and poisoning them until they were forced to retreat
and vowing never to enter again. The Source in the Spiderfell once owned by the wizard Caine has
changed hands to the sinister Swordmage. Many believe his exile from
Ghoere has driven him to the desperate act of claiming this potent
magic, but there are those that believe something much darker is
happening and the Swordmage is said to be seen often within the
Spider's capital 'The Web'. How long this mage will stay in favour
with the lands dark tyrant is unknown, but thus far he has not razed
any of the Spiders castles like the last wizard did!
One of the most surprising things to happen was the emergence of the
Shadow of Kreisha within this dark wood, now it seems all the
gobliniods and gnolls worship this cruel goddess and was even named
state religion by Tal-Quazar himself. Why and how this came to happen
is uncertain, but it seems that the Dark Lady of the Shadow of Kreisha
is here to stay, for now...

Trade: The wood of the Spiderfell is highly prized by would be
traders, many potent and exotic herbs also wait for those with enough
courage to enter. The latest trade to be offered by the Spiderfell is
that of slaves, strangely the surrounding regents seem little
interested in trading for these... luxuries! That is except for one
ambitious, or perhaps foolhardy guilder, Orthien Taine.
